I recently bought myself a new laptop, the amazing Asus Zenbook UX305 Ultrabook. I had been thinking about replacing my old laptop for some time. My old laptop was my Asus G50v that was running Windows 7 and OS X as a hackintosh. That laptop had served me well and was actually still quite usable, but the battery life was shot and it is heavy by newer standards. I plan to repurpose Asus G50v into a MAME machine to power my MAME cabinet. I will post a tutorial on that conversion in the future.
Back to the new laptop. The Zenbook UX305 is amazingly light and thin. I upgraded the OS to Windows 10 without any problems and love it. Performance is better than I expected and I will provide a review of the UX305 in the near future.
I am also planning to dual boot the Zenbook UX305 as a hackintosh and will post a tutorial on how I did it and my thoughts on using it as a hackintosh and compare it to my daughters 13″ MacBook Air.
